In need of an opinion

well, the other car i was going to buy has been sold already, but i ended up getting lucky and there is another car for sell. Its an 96 EX coupe, with a body kit i think its Black widow II, 17inch rims, and true dual exhaust. I'd rather have single exhuast but it's already on there so what can i do.. it also has coilovers. Red w/ 109k the asking price from a dealer is 6,000 its not a big time dealer just one of them small ones.. So what do you think i should try to buy it for? I was thinking about sayign 4,000 cash, reason for 4k is because i heard to always try to go 1k under, plus its modded which doesn't give it good resale value.

I don't think they're take $4k cash, but you could try it. Me, personally would offer $4,500, that's still low. Looks like a nice car, dual exhaust looks better on that car because the black widow rear bumper has two cut outs for the exhaust. Nice looking car. :)

id say he should sell it for around 5,200 . Thats probably the lowest you can get it for. Maybe 4500 if it was private seller.

yeah, have that be your settling price, but don't lowball them with $4k, do $4.5k to start with and then meet them half way...

How do you have True Dual Exhaust on a 4 cilinder?

ask the dealer that's what it says in the description. Any more opinions?!, more would be greatly appreciated

109k is a lot of mileage. Make sure you let him know that you're the one having to sacrifice in the selling of this car and not him. It's also customized which downs the value. If I were you, I'd take off the kit and get the exhaust re-done (you're losing hp with dual exhaust on a civic). Let him know that you're going to have to "fix" all those mods. See what I'm getting at? Basically, make him feel lucky he's able to sell it to you at all...

109k is by no means alot of miles. Its about right for a 96.

109k is not a lot for an 8 year old car
my 00 has almost 112k on it

Ok, so maybe 109 is a stretch. But if the buyer thinks it's too high, that's all that matters. I'm just saying, it it were me, I'd make it seem like it bothered me.

If he post's it as TRUE dual exaust then that would be false advertisement and you could probably do something with that. Just a thought.

lol... it could be "true" duals... lets see... custom made header 4-2 header and connect the exhaust right to the header. something like that? of course there isnt a snowballs chance in hell that is on there, or practical for that matter... dont mind me i am just a little goofy tonight

yah, it could be true dual if they made a header like miata racer said that only has 2 runners like they make for inline 6's. I would never buy a modded car, been drivin to shit and you know it has.
