Del Solemldelsol 01-18-2004, 08:04 AM Hi, I had a 95 Del Sol and was in an accident last month which totaled it. I am now looking for another one from 92-97. It's amazing how these little cars have such an impact on you. ;) I have a few questions: -I like the lime green color (Samba in 92,?? in other years). Which year models have this color? -What's the average amount of mileage before you need to get a new engine? -Are the 97 models that much different from the 92-95 models? -Anyone know of any dealers that have a lime green Del Sol for sale? Thanks for your help. Marlies Plastic_Fork 01-19-2004, 02:59 AM The Samba Green Sol's in the US were only available from '93 - '94 and were only available in the Si model. Regarding mileage - if the motor is taken care of it'll last a long time. I've seen Honda's with 500k miles on their motors. '96 - '97 models had a few minor differences, but overall were identical. Head over to www.teamdelsol.com and check the FAQ. It lists the majority of the differences. I would check AutoTrader (http://www.autotrader.com) for Del Sol's for sale. I found mine there. Other people may have some other suggestions for you as well. lostsol2003 01-20-2004, 12:41 AM I have a 93 S that is Captiva Pearl Blue f/s. Is ready for a swap. Has 202K orig. miles. Has orig D15B7. Car runs great, selling for 2K OBO cause I got a 96 Si. emldelsol 04-23-2004, 05:59 PM Hi, Got the Del Sol car I was looking for a few months ago. Thanks for all your help.
