Resetting ECU...emerge 01-17-2004, 09:56 PM Sup guys. I recently got some work on my car done and I think the technicians reset my ECU. The car isn't perorming AT ALL anymore. I'm considering resetting the ECU this weekend. I know how to reset the ECU, but how do you drive it after you reset it to make it perform better? 99civic03 01-18-2004, 12:25 AM The car isn't perorming AT ALL anymore. What do you mean? Like its not running? Im sure youve already thought of this, but if I were you Id take it back to the place that did the work, they should know whats goin on since they messed with the ECU. BullShifter 01-18-2004, 02:39 AM After it's reset, start the car and let idle until fan comes on then off. Do not touch the gas pedal & make sure all elec. is off. If you just had work done, I'd take it back. emerge 01-18-2004, 04:26 PM It's just not pulling hard. Like it won't accelerate like I know it can. They changed the oil and filter and also replaced the regulator in the window. I can't just go back and say "you made my car slower". I thought there was a certain way you had to drive it for a little while to get it to remain like you want it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
