swapping 85 motor/trany into 84

will an 85 motor and tranny bolt into an 84 without and modifying? if so would i be able to with a turbo motor without modifying anything? thanks.

Depends on a lot of stuff. #1, is the '85 engine fuel injected or carbureted? If it's carbed, it should be a bolt-in affair. If it's EFI, you'll need to swap the following from the '85: transfer case, fuel tank and lines, computer, and wiring harness.

The Turbo uses a different radiator and computer as well.
