My car is doing lot of hesitating after driving fast and then coming to a stop. I just got a new motor in it ( new used one) It was running great for a week ( It really pulled hard from first despite being an automatic )then I noticed that ther was water leaking out of the bottom.

I took it to local shop and they fixed the leak ( I saw it it was way under the motor )

Now, the car does not pull hard anymore and hesitates and even cuts off. I think maybe they dirtied up the throttle body or something. I saw the directions to clean the throttle body on SE-R net but I am afraid to disconect the wrong thing and how to keep it open ( they suggest a broom stick ??/) Can anyone help me with this ???

Maybe I need more pictures ..hopefull my haines manual will be here soon ...

Couple of checks you can do...

Check ignition timing, go se-r net and you can find out how.

Have a friend step on the gas for you, and you go see how is the exhaust flow from the tail pipe. Or have you local Midas store check the CAT.

( Just kinda sounds like ignition timing way retarded or a plugged CAT )

You got new plugs and wires and stuffs like that when you got your motor put on?

Mt timing is way advanced like to 17 degrees and no I did not get new plugs.

Untill I got that leak and tok it to shop to fix the leak the new motor ran like a monster... snorting fire !!! ( almost ).. The idle was always at like 800- 900, Now it drop when ever I come to a stop to like 400-500 or just off.

I had the care throttle boddy cleaned yesterday. The car runs really smooth when it is going but the idle is still dropping. Think new plugs and wires will help guys ?

Someone on Yahoo suggested the TPS sensor ? Help

It is embarrasiing when I mini race from one light to another ..smoke the car then cut off ..lol ..
