I have a 1999 Dodge Intrepid 3.2 with ABS brakes. Last month I turned all 4 rotors and installed new pads. I had a local shop power bleed the system.

Problems: Moderate braking is fine, but upon harder braking the pedal travels farther than I think it should and when it starts to grab it is with a lot of effort on my part with unsatisfactory stopping. Also, my Haynes manual says to test the brake booster to pump it up till hard with engine off.then start car and pedal should drop slightly.mine drops about 2 inches.

What is the factory, not the generic, method to bleed the system?
