Can someone tell me the value of my 1998 Limited Jeep Grand Cherokee with 85K miles? I am looking into getting something with better gas mileage and want to know what my Jeep is worth. Thanks.

You can find out the value by going to kellybluebook.com or Edmunds.com . That way you can add the info of it's condition . Good luck !

Jack-
The NADA values are a good guideline, but don't take them as gospel. There can be a wide price range due to a number of conditions including vehicle condition, geographic location, and market desirability (among others). I recently bought a 1998 GC Limited 5.9 with 91,000 miles from a Chrysler dealer and I was able to negotiate it as a cash deal for $8500. They originally listed it at $11,995 and had it "on sale" for $9,999. The listed Kelly BlueBook value of that vehicle (with those miles) is $12,975.
I think the market is pretty soft now due in part to the 0% financing offered by all the new car manufacturers. There is a "trickle down" factor for used cars because of the tremendous volume of trade-ins and private sellers out there.
Bottom line- your car probably won't sell for the listed book value unless it is EXTREMELY clean, has low mileage, or has some aftermarket accessories to boost the percieved value. Good luck.
