PricingWhitebread 12-24-2001, 12:26 PM Anyone know how much the new Americna Skylines will cost? SkylineGTS25t 12-24-2001, 01:50 PM I read in this months Road & Track that the new GT-R will cost around $70k. Speaking of the new GT-R... They also said that they aredropping the Skyline monaker and just calling it the GT-R in Japan, and dont know wether it will wear the Nissan or Infiniti name in the US. Personally I think they are totally fucking up here. The GT-R concept looks ok, but needs work(specifically the trademark headlights and a few other things to differentiate it from being an over-priced 350Z, they look damn near identical...). However the Skyline Sedan(and I doubt we will see a Skyline Coupe) looks like just plain good ol shit IMHO. In any event, The Skyline was once said to be a GT in name only some 13 or so years ago in a competetors add(possibly Toyota?), which led to the design of the R-32 GT-R aptly named "Godzilla". Well, I dare say that they are heading in that direction again and need to wake the hell up. They should have stayed on the track they were on with the R-32/33/34. Whitebread 12-24-2001, 02:08 PM I totally agree with everything you said. That price isn't helping me though. I may have enough money to buy a GT-R when I'm 50. But with the way Nissian is designing their cars I don't think I will be getting a R35 anyway. R34 ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
