Question JDM B18c With LSD and 93 JDM HEAD????

Ok i just bought a 1994 civic ex coupe very nice with a JDM BC18 GSR motor with A 1993 stamped HEAD and A older Throttle and Intake manifold. I thought it would be fast but it revs out real slow... And i am not to sure were to shift at? Any ideas on how to fix/ Mod? Im thinking about buying a Typhoon intake manifold and a 65 mm throttle body with fule pump and regulator and heads..? Or can i just fix this first from no mods?
Friend has a crx type r and it flys...
thanks
jeff
