Turn signal light

I have an 89 jeep cherokee, and the problem is when I turn on the headlights my right turning signal light stays on solid on the dash. I have checked the out side lights they do not stay on. they seem to work fine. Any sugestions where to start?

Re: Turn signal light

I had a similar problem with both sides a year ago. Check the ground in the parking light bulb socket. There is a metal clip that connects from the bulb socket to the ground and it gets corroded. You can solder a wire across it or get a new socket.
