well ... i can help with both !
i have a 90 tercel with an 88 3E engine ... (same thing)
oil pressure... i bought a sunpro gauge from advance auto for like $10
mounted it to the left side of my dashboard on the flat, or you could mount it on the top, or elsewhere if you're so inclined....
i unscrewed my stock OPS and threaded in the new one that came /w the kit, attached the terrible nylon tubing and hardware... ran it thru my firewall and it works great. i average 50-60 psi cruising, fully warmed up, 10w30 oil & a cheap filter. as high as 70 or so when its cold.
i would highly suggest you purchase a copper tubing kit, as the nylon tubing is prone to kinking and will give you false readings if you don't pay attention to the routing and such.
now the tach... i have bought it, but i don't have it mounted yet.
all you have to do is locate the distributor, and you'll see a blue wire with a connector on the end of it... this is the signal wire for rpm's.
cut the connector off and butt-splice your tachometer's signal wire to it.
just set your tachometer's signal input accordingly, (4 cylinder)
and hook up corresponding wires correctly and everything should work alright, i located a hot wire in my dimmer circuit, so they will both dim when i rotate the dimmer knob.
my tach is a sunpro unit, 3 5/8th's inches in diameter, not obnoxious and still funcional. you're gonna have to drill a hole or two to get this done.
i can show a photo of the mounting location of the oil pressure gauge.
