Hey,

After checking out the sites (se-r.net and g20) and wandering around the web a little bit, I was wondeirng what peoples experience has been with getting a new exhast system on the p10's. (mine is a '92 g20). Overall...opinion is pretty divided...because the stock exhaust on our cars it seems is pretty good. I know there is SOME hp to be gained (how much I'm not certain)...but for the rest of my car, the hp/$ ratio was pretty satisfying...in the case of the exhaust, I'm not so sure.

Obviously this does not apply to Turbo's that REQUIRE a new exhaust...but for the rest of us that upgrade a little at a time....new headers, cams etc.... is it still worth it?

let me know what your experience has been. particularly anybody with numbers to post (dyno/$)

dude go for it... if i had the money i would definatly get one... if ure smart u will get the whole catback system... greddy makes a good one for our car and u can get it from stillen or nopi.com i would do it man!
i got a little tip right now to hold me over for my catback... but my rims r first!

I have fitted a 3" all the way though with a "pro muff" muffler and a silencer about half way to try and keep it quite.

You will notice a difference.

Obviously the car will breathe a lot better than with the standard system.

If you are going to do this, change the air filter to a K&N or some thing similar....then it will make it go better.

I'd say change it also, but get the whole thing (cat-back) not just a universal muffler with crush-bent piping. Most cat-back's have mandrel bent piping so it's a smoother flow. And I'd say nothing bigger than 2-1/2" piping anything bigger is overkill unless you got plans for a turbo or nitrous. Too big of piping will lose low-end torque, but then again may gain a little high-end torque if that's your bag. And the loudest ones aren't always the best. Prolly something like Greddy will do fine. Good quality, sound, and performance. Stillen is good also.

CHANGE IT!!

Don't delay . . . just be careful with your choice of components.

Many products on the market are just chrome and noise . . . you wouldn't want that, I don't think.

If you're concerned about performance "flow" is the all important thing to consider. Getting better flow is the result of wider less ristrictive piping.

Mandrel bends instead of crush bends, and one size pipe all the way through.
