2000 Grand Cherokee Ignition doesn't work when coldlisa3599 01-08-2004, 11:56 AM I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee it has been about 17 degrees where I live and my Jeep will not start. The key will not turn at all. When I returned home last evening tempeture was about 35 degrees the ignition worked just fine. Anyone else had this problem or and what was the solution. jeep827 01-26-2004, 03:13 PM i had the same problem today, first time i've run into it in the 4 years i've had it, and it's been in much colder temperatures before. it's at the shop right now, i'll post again when i find out what it is. when you finally got it started, were there any engine problems? steeler39 01-28-2004, 07:36 PM I am having the exact same issue today, all amounts of moving the steering wheel don't help. It has been much colder than now and have had this happen in little spurts. In the past moving the steer wheel, flipping the key over and it will start. This time I am not so lucky. If anyone can be of assistance I would appreciate. Dale Aeppli 01-28-2004, 10:55 PM You could try a shot of wd40. Mine did it & the tumblers were stuck in place, give it a shot & jiggle & work the key in & out to lossen the tumblers. Dale jeepman600@aol.com vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
