I just bought the same remote for my 98 Civic. I read that that was supposed to be the right one, but I'm having trouble getting it to work too. I've seen two different sets of instructions, but neither one seems to work. Can anyone tell me if this is the right or wrong remote?

This is an old thread - but the above information may be confusing to some readers.

The 97 Accord SE or EX with factory keyless entry will not use the KOBUTAH2T remote from the 98-02 Accord.

It actually uses the remote for the 99-00 Civic:
