2002 fog lights

Hi all,
This is my first X after migrating from a 4Runner - so far I am impressed...lets hope it stays that way!

my 02 X SE did not come with fog lights, any suggestions on where to buy some and if installation is easy enough?

thanks in advance.

Re: 2002 fog lights

You planning on installing them in the interior of your X? This is the Mods/Interior section...

www.xterraparts.com has the OEM fog kit, it's pricey no matter where you look, but I see them on Ebay now and then too. Some 02s have the wiring in place already, some don't. See the xterraparts.com page for more info.
You can always install aftermarket fogs, just find a set that fit the holes in the bumper. They have some PIAA ones that do the trick.

Re: 2002 fog lights

oops - thought I was in the exterior mods...
thanks for the quick reply - will check them out.

I also found the OEM fog lights here for a good price - I would have to wire them myself though...

think they would work?

Those aren't the OEM lights, they're aftermarket knock-offs. I suppose they're good enough.
Assuming they physically fit, there's no reason you can't wire them yourself. You'll have to install a switch and relay if they aren't provided.

Re: 2002 fog lights

I just received the fog lights and they fit perfectly, took about 15 mins - all the hardware and brackets were included also. I would recommend them to anyone - i just need to wire them.

Mine is an SE - not sure why the fog lights were not included, its prewired though...

Question fog lights

x4ever, when you installed the fog lights, how hard was the install for the switch inside the vehicle? and could you use the stock mounting space!

Re: 2002 fog lights

The OEM kit replaces the column stalk w/ one that has the switch built in.
