Acouple races in the RexcivicHBsi91 01-07-2004, 06:31 PM so i got the new rex and i was drivin around on the strip the other night first race, well more like embarassing someone, was 2 girls in this saturn all revvin on me, it wasent really a race cuz i just left them but i just wanted to see how the crx did 2nd race was a early 90's galant vr4 with cat back and bov for sure, im sure he had more, caught a light with him, we both came off the line slowly and both got into 2nd and then i got on it alittle bit and he punched it so i punched it, i pulled like 3/4 a car and he shifted and gained about 1/4 car and it stayed like that until i slowed down due to traffic 3rd race was an integra ls with filter/exhuast and he had about a car and a 1/2 lead on me, we were at a light and it turned green and he got on it, i waited till he had about 1 1/2 cars and punched it, spun alittle caught traction and passed him up shifting into 3rd and kept pullin hard i wish it was summer i wanna take this thing to the track, it gets up and moves for just an ls, i read up on galant vr4's alot run mid to low 14's with minor mods, i dont know if he couldent drive or if im that quick, i really dont know, gotta wait till i can get to the track i geuss carrrnuttt 01-07-2004, 08:19 PM i dont know if he couldent drive or if im that quick, i really dont know, gotta wait till i can get to the track i geuss Well, if your description is accurate, you raced him essentially from a roll, where your light-weight, and FWD should have an advantage against an almost stock Galant VR-4. civicHBsi91 01-07-2004, 10:34 PM yea ive seen times posted with essentially stock galant vr4's running from 14.04 to 14.8's i dont know if my car run's 14's or not but ill find out sooner or later, and im sure anyone that has a galant vr4 knows alittle something i mean its not a car you see everyday Doubletap 01-08-2004, 01:59 PM The VR-4 is gonna be slower on the roll vs a dig though becuase it loses the advantage of the killer awd launch and all that extra driveline just sucks thet torque right away. For example a pair of 2g eclises. one GS-T and one GSX. From a roll the GS-T walks away every time but from a stop the GSX uses the advanteage to awd drive to get the launch and the GST can't catch it. DoubleTap civicHBsi91 01-08-2004, 09:11 PM it was a real slow roll, he could have launched in 1st if he wanted to it was weird, i understand the fwd awd fully, i just want to know how fast my car is...geuss the best thing for the winter is a gtech banditkiller 01-09-2004, 12:28 AM G-tech and a late night trip out to 97.....
