reach under dashboard

Reach under the dashboard and press a small button on the underside of the switch. If you purchase a new one first it makes it easier to understand where this button is. As you press the small button, pull gently on the knob and the slide part will come out. Then unscrew the locking nut that is now visible. Remove the electrical connection.

Question

I've got the same problem with my '94 Jeep and I have to replace the headlight switch. My question is I've been able to remove everything else from behind the dash but the headlight switch is behind the only part which is rivited (sp) together. My question is how to I get to the switch to replace it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
