What number should the "var" number be for iowa when resetting a compass in the overhead console. Also to reset the compass you need to make 3 360 degree turns to get it calibrated once in cal mode. Thanks trying to setup a compass having never done it before and having no manual.

instructions as per 95 z owners manuel. To set variance: Turn the ignition ON and set the display to Comp/Temp. While pressing the US/Metric button, press the Step button for approximately five seconds. The " VAR " symbol will light and the last variance number will be displayed. Press the US/Metric button to select the proper variance as shown on the map ( Yours is 7 ) .Press the Step button to set the new variance zone and resume normal operation.
