Question battery size

This may be a Dumb question; if so, please forgive. Is a 7v(?7.5v?) battery adequate for this car? Grandson's buds say yes but car needs jumps frequently; new alternator put in 3 weeks ago. Car has mega bass stereo, which I understand takes lots of juice. One of these days, I'll learn how to disconnect that bass!

Re: battery size

All late model Cadillac use a 12 volt battery and when the alternator is working correctly you should read over 13 volts across the battery terminals when engine is running. If this is true and car is slow cranking or needs jump frequently you should replace the battery. I suggest a Walmart battery because they have a 3 year warranty on their best battery with no prorate ( meaning you do not need to put out any extra money if it fails within three years. The receipt will be required so keep it with the battery and another copy in your files.

Thank you, now I feel more confidant asking for the voltage check. Altysnana
