Are US-Spec FDs single or twin turbo?DaveSev 01-04-2004, 08:23 PM I always thought the US RX-7 made 250 or so ponies with a single turbo, and JDM RX-7s were twin turbo. Is that right? dayna240sx 01-04-2004, 08:30 PM Every third gen is twin turbo japanese or us spec. They started at 255 hp then in around 96-97 they rasied it to 280 in japan. DaveSev 01-04-2004, 08:35 PM Meh. Thanks. 89Turbo944 01-05-2004, 04:38 AM 98 got the bump to 255 And yes all FD's are twin from factory s14silvias14 01-14-2004, 12:51 AM if you're referring to a 98 US spec, it didnt exist. If not, the japanese spec rx7's were the same as the US in hp, 255, until the later 90's when they moved them to the supposed 280hp. but in japan there was a horsepower ban where 280 was the limit. Its not quite certain what it really was rated at along with all the other cars (skyline, fairlady z.) dayna240sx 01-14-2004, 01:16 AM if you're referring to a 98 US spec, it didnt exist.
