VW Passat Door Molding Probs

I have a 99 VW Passat that we bought in June 02. As soon as we bought it, the interior door moldings starting falling down, CarMax glued it up twice and the heat in the summer would just melt it and it would come down. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, any recommendations of getting this back up? We have considering just cutting the moldings out.

Are you talking about the little rubbery strips of fabric that cover up the black rubber around the door? If so yeah as soon as I bought my passat the passenger side fell down. I asked a guy at the dealership and he said its a common problem and that it costed a lot to fix. He said most people just pull it off, which I did. It doesn't look horrible when you do, in fact I had forgotten all about it until I read your post.
