i just went to signal autosports and theywant 2500 for a b16a swap into an 89 rex and they say the zc wont pass smog and the b16a would b/c it was an option for the si, or some bs like that

What did they include with the swap or was it just a bare bones swap?

ummm...well, my ZC passed emmissions with H/E/I and the stock Si ECU.

as for the B16...if that's a B16A your getting ripped! I just paid 1600.00 for a complete front end and limited slip diff in a B16A! I'd expect to pay around 1000.00 to 1200.00 for it.

either the guys really dont wanna do the swap for you so they are charging a crazy amount so you wont do it there, or they are trying to jack you, aint no fool paying 2500 for a b16a swap.

no thats for b16a and all of the install its kinda steep but not to bad i just dont have 2500 i have 1900 at my max so i am shifting and am gonna do the little things till the only next thing is an engines swap

thats' still alot! do they know what they are doing? heck, I'd only charge 3 or 4 hundred bucks to install.

dont know if I'd trust em either way...they're sayin the zc wont pass smog...and that's b/c its a JDM engine and you're in cali....the same thing should be true about the 1st gen b16...unless of course they're giving you a USDM b16 and then that's probably an accurate price...

I found a B16A for $450 just the engine alone. The engine and tranny is $850 and the Engine, tranny and ECU for $1150 for the 88-91 CRX at Nipponmotors.com You can check that out and if you need anything else let me know.

it was signal autosports and they are well know in cali, they made the 11 second non v-tec no FI crx so i am confused but they are charging alot and i don't think the guy understood me so guess what, no business for them from me

13second civic your car passed smog in CALI? the emission laws are the hardest here

I thought you were gonna go TODA powered???? You change your mind more then me... hehehe! Im gonna start the old fun process of looking for a car while im down here, found a 96' hatch for $3900/obo... cant find anything, just like back home *grins*
