i went to the chevy garage and the man said they cut the hinge open with a grinder, remove the pin, squeeze the hinge back together, then weld it and paint it and drive in new pins. so totally unsophisticated. has to be a better way in america.
My doors got really tight so I thought I would change the pins and bushings...Wrong!! I couldn't budge them. More than one source told me "Good Luck!!". I then heard the same thing about doing damage to change those pins and I gave up. In my case, I kept up the penetrating oil doses and worked the doors until I felt it was the best I could do. Now I just live with a snug door. Sorry to hear yours are wobbly, oil won't help...John
the hinges on my '92 were extremely tight too. Penetrating oil didn't seem to make much difference. With the door open, I was able to drill a very small hole on the inside of the hinge , then use a chain saw bar greaser to inject grease. I have to regrease every six months or so, but the rear doors open much easier now.
