Something about the tree on the front cover of the U2 CD that makes that place look great. The pics look cool, is there a lot of wheeling to do there, or is the area better for hiking, camping, etc.???

Although not a Moab, this is one of the national parks that does offer offroading. The trails are all moderate to easy. Joshua Tree is primarily a climbing meca with thousands of rock faces of varing degree difficulty.
