Have you tried the alternator or the ignition switch?

If you turn the key and you hear a click but nothing happens, it is most likely the ingnition switch.

It shouldn't.

If you have replaced the battery, I would suspect the alternator or the alternator belt.

Actaully it will turn over with a broken timing chain now that i think about it. So you may have a broken timing chain, snapped alternator belt, or a dead alternator.

What engine do you have?If its a 3.0 v-6.It could be a ASD relay. This relay shuts down spark and fuel if theres any change in electrical system.Try disconnecting it and battery for a minute and check for spark'This thing is for protection in case of a wreck.Any kind of an electrical malfuction can trip it.BAD GROUNDS!!!

caravan won't start

I had this problem with my '90. Does your truck have electronic ignition and fuel injection? If so post back and I'll tell you what I found out. It's pretty involved so let's see about elect. ign. and fuel inj. firts.

Ignition Module be my first guess. When it goes, no fire to coil. If no fire to coil, no fire to plugs. No plugs, no ZOOM!

If you want to know if your timing chain is broken, pull a plug, stuff a piece of napkin in the hole and slowly, (little at a time, just bump it) crank the engine over. If the chain is NOT broke, it will blow that napkin out of the hole and you'll probably hear a nice POP when it does. If the chain IS broke, your cam will not turn and your valves will not work, thus, NO COMPRESSION, napkin will not blow out of the hole.

Mine was the ccc unit. I had to stick a pos. probe into the injector pos. wire and whicl turning it over, strike a ground to the block and VIOLA it injected the gas. Remember that these "brains" run everything but where you're trying to go

Depending on the motor, some have the Hall Effect dist. which have the picup coil inside and others have the Spark Control Computer (SCC). I guess you had the latter...

What motor is in it? Does the check engine light come on with ignition on?

[quote=Williesworld]Maybe you should check the CCC (computer command control) or the distributor module. (Remove the throttle body cover and expose the injectors. Turn the motor over a few times to see if the injectors are misting. If not try the following):
To check the CCC commands for the fuel injectors is pretty easy: stick a small, sharp metal pin into the positive fuel injector wire. Attach a short piece of copper wire to it and while turning over the motor, strike the bare end of the attached wire to the block. If the injector sprays gas into the throttle body, your CCC is shot.
The distributor fuel injector module is located under the rotor button. If the injectors are spraying gas into the TB, it's quite possible this module needs replacement.
Also you may check for the inline fuel filter, usually betyween the gas tank and motor. Mine is about two feet from the gas tank and hard to see.
Hope this helps ya'
