69 Corvette 427 Radiator Installation NEED HELP

i am currently in the process of installing a new
radiator on my 1969 427/390 4-speed. I do not have A/C
or P/S.

The old radiator was removed without an issue and the
shroud was removed easily as well because it had a
major crack on the lower right portion, allowing it to
move around the suspension arms easily.

Now for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get
the radiator and replacement shroud into the car. The problem
areas are the lower radiator neck and getting the
shroud past the suspension arms. using two people we
are able to get the raditor neck down and 1/2 of the
shroud down, but that is where it stops on each
attempt more or less. the chevrolet assembly manual
does not lend much assistance.

I feel like there may be some trick to this that I am just missing. Any pointers would be appreciated.

thank you for your time
