Standard Rallye ECU

On the 1994 1.3 106 Rallye with the Magneti Marelli ECU -

Can the ecu learn? I.e. Is there a sequence to go through whenever a modification is made to the engine so it remaps the air intake etc.. to take notice of the mods? I know many aftermarket ECU's do this (Combination of accelerator pedal presses and ignition or something of the sort) but can this be done to the standard on?

Cheers.

ive heard that it can learn..

some people disconnect the ecu.. run the car hard for a while.. then reconnect the ecu and it allows for more fuelling....
