are renensis rotor housings the same size as the 13b's?deezcheezez 12-29-2003, 05:48 AM :banghead: anybody know if renesis rotor housings are the same size and bolt pattern as 13b's? i been in iraq over 11 months, so i ain't been able to do the research i'd like. i figgered, if they were the same size, it wouldn't be hars to cut the flange ends off the minolithic converter of an 87 13b, make an adaptor plate of some sort to fit the intake manifold, get coils, and slap a spiffy roots type vortech on it, another adapter plate , and a 1000 cfm dominator. i've done that exact thing with regular old school rx's, but the enourmous porting possibilities of the renesis could put some serious juice to a carb powered wankel. either way, i just wondered if they are interchangeable at all. :banghead: Jims5543 12-29-2003, 08:40 AM The housings are stamped 13B. The only problem is that they do not have exhaust ports in them. I have not seen a Renesis torn down yet. Pettit just got one in and plans on tearing it down. Hopefully I can get a look. Steel 12-29-2003, 11:30 AM Yeah.. no exhasut port, which causes problems if you try to use renesis housings with (older) 13b side plates.. nowhere for the bad air to go! Jim: are the tension bolt patterns the same too? Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
