Unhappy 1995 Cherokee Sport Clutch Problem?

I am having major problems! Help! The hydraulic clutch on my 95 manual 5 speed transmission cherokee sport went out and the techs replaced the front bearing plate, clutch fork, and slave cylinder. I tried to drive it home from the repair shop; it started out fine but I started having problems the longer I drove. First the clutch pedal became mushy and I couldn't put in reverse. Next, it didn't want to go into 1st but the other gears were fine. A little while later, the problem had worked its way up to 2nd sticking but 3rd was ok and continued up the gears in this manner. All the way, it was a fight to change gears and the pedal was pushed to the floor but once in gear it drove fine. Is this a clutch problem still (my thoughts) or is this the transmission? Can anybody give me any advice?

This may seem like a long shot but you may have some air in your hydraulic lines. This is usually characterized by a mushy pedal. When the air compresses in the hydraulic line your throw-out bearing may not move enough to properly disengage any gear thus making it difficult to engage a gear.
