Hello all,

I am looking into buying a 1991 325i BMW.
Can you please give me some advise on what
to pay attention to.

Your fast response is appreciated.

Regards,
Stalwart

1. Clean title-usually on all bmw's all of the vin # should be in place (1 on each door, 2 on the hood, and 1 on the trunk.)
2. If it is a manual tranny, drive it up a hill, and see if the clutch is worn, you can tell because the engine sound is different since the engine is trying extra hard to make it up a hill.
3. Check if the air conditioning works, and make sure that there are not any freon leaks going around anywhere.
4. Check and see if the owner has either all or more than enough service/maintenance reports.
5. Check the inside and see how badly the carpet, floormats, and seats have been worn.
6. Check the mileage
7. Check the condition of the engine (that means everything, timing belt, cylinder head, alternator, etc.)
