Same problem at holding speed

Hi there, I have the same problem when I hit 53mph and above. i've had 2 mechanics try to figure it out and nothing. Have tried to replace erg valves, coil, computer and still the same thing. I desperate this is a pain in the butt!!
They've told me that they would have no problem fixing it but just can't figure what's wrong with it HELP...

There is an item called the VSS(vehicle speed sensor) that controls the Torque Converter Clutch system within the tranny on our cars. Maybe this is the issue....

Also another thing could be the TPS(throttle position sensor) which is located on the throttle body. It senses the position of your throttle plate and sends the signal to your engines computer for proper fuel metering.

Re: 95 grand am holding speed

My car would shake at 60 mph and also would stop when i would release or press the gas. Took it to a few mechanics, and they found nothing. Turned out it was my alignment cause all this trouble. Found that kinda weird, but it fixed the problem. i thought it was gonna be something expensive.

Re: 95 grand am holding speed

the only thing i think that it would be is the insterment cluster...have you got it wet? Because if that happened the same thing would happen...but it would also shift hard...I would hit like sixty, and it would do that...when i got it fixed i got it up to like 124 and it was running great...no problems of shakking or any of that...
