Help.....When I drive on long drives my car shuts down...i pull over wait 2 minutes and it starts right up goes another 2 or 3 miles and shuts down again....heres the kicker...if i anticipate the shut down in time...like at 1.5 miles or so i put it in neutral turn off the key turn it back on so the fuel pump goes on and start it i can keep going. My trouble codes are as follows...wow thats weird...i just checked and i got 12 then 55....before like last week i got a few...i know one was a fuel relay circuit or something and that sounded like it could be it. Can anyone give me some help...I gotta drive to Cali from havasu this week so it would be appreciated. Thanks and God Bless.

WEll, code 12 is telling you your computer was reset within 50 key cycles and the 55 is telling you codes are done. If you got a code for fuel relay replace it. I know there are also issues with bolth cam and crank sensors that will act in the same way. Without seeing it it's hard to say :banghead:

Ok....thanks....where is the fuel relay do you know....i found the fuse for the fuel pump...but i believe the relay is an actual sencer. And where is the cam sencer....Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I forget without looking at it and my neon is in the bodyshop. I think the fuel relay is in the fuse box under the hood. Not 100% on that.
There is a crank sensor on the back of the block with bolts that hold it in the block, I believe it's an 8mm if I remember correctly. Without looking I forget where the cam sensor is :screwy: Plus my Neon service manual is in the trunk of the car so.....
