Question Sites to learn how to work on cars?

I am a total newbie to cars...... i really want to learn how to work on them and what all that stuff means..... anybody know of any sites that could start me off? Another thing.... i have a 78 caprice with a 305 v8 (i think) but i was told it was a 350...... anyway the engine says 305 so i assume it is 305..... is there that much of a difference between a 350 and a 305?

-thanks
Rich

This site won't make you learn how to work on cars, but t will help you understand the way it works. And that 's the basic, you got to know how it works if you don't want to screw it up by working on it.http://www.howstuffworks.com/
