Fuel system problemMpalze 12-23-2003, 11:54 PM Hey all, I'm having a bit of a problem with the fuel system on my 1998 venture. My wife was driving it today, left work with a quater tank of gas. 5 miles away from work the needle dropped down to empty, and the van stalled, and would not start. I bought some gas out to her, and we drove it to a station, and put $10 worth of gas in. The gauge then read 3/4's a tank. The 'service engine soon' light was also now on, and stays on. She drove it home(40 miles) and when she got home, was down to just under a quater tank. Any idea's what could possibly be the problem, or where to start? GMMerlin 12-24-2003, 07:20 AM There is a pass thru connector underneath the van on the left side near the sliding door (near the fuel tank)...I have seen a number of those connectors suffer from water intrusion and corrosion.....unplug the connector and see if water comes out and/or the terminals are corroded Mpalze 12-25-2003, 06:47 PM Couldn't locate the connector. :( Anything special I could look for to locate it? Also, had the code read. It came back as "Multiple Cylinder Misfire". Yet, it runs fine. I hope it's not something serious, as the van is already on it's second engine. :( Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
