Nope, but they won't add any hp if that's what you're wondering. Get one of the dozen MSD ignition upgrades, then you might get better throttle response.

Thanks for your reply - here's a little more info about my car and another question -

I bought my Civic (coupe) at 20,000miles from a Honda dealer as a leased vehicle with full warranty.. so I haven't done anything extreme to it, mostly cosmetic changes and inside sound upgrades. I've never changed the plugs, wires, cap or rotor, so this is mostly preventive maintenance but at the same time I do have a problem and hope the solution (whatever that will be) will give me more hp..

I had an AEM Cold Air Intake installed 2 months ago. Since then, stomping on the gas causes a hesitation/choking before it will GO. That is what got me started on this ignition wire upgrade quest. Someone told me "ok, it's breathing better, now you need to ugprade the fire department (sparks)", recommending new 4 electrode bosch plugs and thicker plug wires saying that would make a difference but I'll consider the MSD upgrades.

What do you have? (nice cardomain pics by the way, looks really good) Maybe I should go read your site and see what you've installed! By the way, where'd you get your headlight assembly? Haven't seen those round my area before.
