ford fiesta 1.1 1994

Help bit of an odd problem.

Me other half has a fiesta 1.1 94 claissic. It normally runs fine but there are days when it doesn't behave it over revs and under revs up and down the scale has been back to the garage a couple of times and they can't find the problem.

Don't think it's linked but it also drinks oil....i mean really drinks like a fish.

If any one has any ideas please let me know.

Cheers

Jurgen

Exclamation similar prob

I had a very similar problem with mine a few months ago, it kept over-reving when i was pulling up, was mor elike the revs just refused to drop. This got so serious i had to turn the engine off in the middle of traffic to stop the engine from damging itself!! Alot of the time i could also drive the car without the accelerator, just clutch and brakes. Also wouldnt start a couple of times, spent a gd 4 weeks trying to track down the problem, in the end i had to take it to the ford garage to get the electrics tested, it turned out to be something called the predictiomitor (something like that). £70
hope this helps
