Tires for 500 SL non-sport

Has anybody tried the new Cooper Zeon 2Xs tires on their SL? They have a very similar design to Mich Pilot Sport, but are about $100 each. The reps are touting them like mad..specs look good...What do you think?

I originally had the Mich Pilot Sports, at 39K miles I bought a new set of Bridgestone Potenza RE 730's.....which i can't STAND ! Too hard and rough, The car drives like it's on wooden blocks. It has only been a couple hundred miles, but i am ready to send them back or sell - so let me know if anyone wants them - and I am considering going with the Cooper's mentioned above. 245/45/17 is the size. Please write in if you have any fedback on these new Cooper tires.

Thanks

I don't know if you've bought new tires yet, but....IMHO
Why would you want to go inexpensive with the one part of the car that has such an impact on safety, performance and comfort? You do get what you pay for in tires. Specs may look good, but remember that you're putting them on a fairly heavy car and a tire made of a lower grade compuond will wear much faster.
