Thanks!! tman 12-21-2003, 07:10 PM You just undo the bolts, and it will come out, but take off the oil filter, and it will easily slide out. You gotta change the oil anyway, so you might as well change the filter too. I like to change the filter on every change. JohnleeMax 12-23-2003, 01:18 PM Besides replacing the gasket, do I need to use a Silicon sealant? JohnleeMax 12-23-2003, 01:42 PM Also do I need to Apply Thread-locker to oil pan bolts? Flatrater 12-23-2003, 06:57 PM GM has had some problems with the oil pan leaking. The latest and greatest info from GM was to replace the gasket add sealer between the pan and gasket and use a teflon sealer on the bolts. JohnleeMax 12-24-2003, 11:28 AM Thanks! What are the Torque Settings for the oil pan bolts? tman 12-24-2003, 02:11 PM 88 inch pounds if I'm not mistaken Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
