ok, here's the deal, when i accelerate it gets too hot, when i let off and coast, it cools down, did it all last week, didn't do it at all this weekend, now it's doing it again, thermostat, or something else, anyone???

I have a 95 cutlass with a 3.1. It was doing the same thing you mentioned. Had the thermostat replaced and problem was fixed. Hope that helps.

hey, thx for the reply, i took it to the shop today to get looked at, had a thermostat for them to install too, then they called me and said my intake manifold gasket was blown, along with my heater control unit, also got a frozen real caliper, all which is fixable, but it'll take some time, which i didn't have, it was my daily driver, therefore, I traded it in today and got a 99 Blazer 4x4, Problem solved. :D
