I have a 2000 Trooper that was wrecked on the passenger side (a tree really is stronger than steel). I am told the frame was not damaged, although the body damage is pretty extensive on the passenger side. It's a 4x4 automatic with the 3.5 liter 6 cyl. The truck was running great prior to the wreck. Of course there are many salvagable parts left on this truck, was thinking of parting. I would also consider selling the whole vehicle as one unit if anyone has an interest in it.
