Good Malibu Exhaust

right now ive got a custom 3" exhaust system from the headers back with a high flow cat on my 1997 malibu ls 3.1L v6 but im still stuck with my cheap stupid sounding muffler. anyone know a good sounding muffler that isnt too loud, has a nice deep sound to it, and wont drown out my radio (like that would happen :sun: ). plus id like about a 4" or 4.5" outlet or dual 3"

3" exhaust? Thats crazy. I only have 2 1/4 inch pipes off my headers. a 3 chamber flow master would prolly do the job.

Re: Good Malibu Exhaust

I dont have the malibu anymore but i had a muffler shop hand make me some 3-2-1 headers with a 3 inch collector. the 3" was way over kill thats for sure. if i did it again id go 2.5" just call a few muffler shops around you and ask em if they make custom headers. the guys i went to were damn good. they could pretty much custom make anything. if i ever get a turbo for my honda im gonna get them to build me a stainless equal length manifold. even though i rambled i hope that helped.

They do make a bolt on muffler for the Malibu but it is a very difficult find, they used to have them on EBAY about a year ago, but now i wouldnt know where to find them

Sorry guys but please do not resurrect or reply to old threads. Any thread over 3 months old. Thread is now closed.

POSTING IN CLOSED OR OUTDATED THREADS:
If a thread has been closed, there is probably a logical reason for it. If you feel that the reason(s) for closure of the original thread are unjustified or wish further clarification feel free to contact any member of the moderating team. However, do not start a new thread about another closed thread.

Please avoid posting or voting in outdated threads. It merely clutters up the message board and makes it more difficult for fellow members to sort through the vast amount of information contained on the boards. If you have new and important information to add regarding a past discussion, feel free to start a new thread and if need be, add a link to the original thread.
