Question Auto Door Locks going nuts???

The electric door locks on my '98 windstar are going nuts! They won't unlock or lock and the driver door, the rear door and the tailgate locks will try to lock (or unlock) depening on their mood. The action will stop if you push the lock down manually. Any ideas????

Thanks,

Well, my parents 98 windstar has a similar problem, you have to lock and unlock the fron doors manualy by pulling the little stubs, but you can use the buttons to lock and unlock all the other doors, havent had a chance to look at it yet though
