Steel Braided Brake Lines (help)d_langdon 12-12-2003, 01:16 PM does anyone know where i can get steel braided brake lines for a 2000 4wd silverado 1500. i have a 6" lift with 35's and my brakes suck. they are too spungy. any suggestions on good pads and rotors would be great too as they need to be replaced soon. thanks, david Sonny01 08-18-2004, 12:12 PM I don't know if you found your brake lines but Russell now makes a kit part #695760. This is where I found them http://www.russellperformance.com/auto/brake/b_lines_suv-gm.shtml Sonny01 NWChevyGuy 08-18-2004, 09:41 PM I couldn't find a kit for my 01. I blew out a stock rubber line from a 35" BFG rubbing it, so I had to measure the length that I wanted, and order some generic braided lines from the local performance store. They work great! Sonny01 08-18-2004, 11:16 PM Can you tell a difference it the way truck brakes and have you done any other brake mods? NWChevyGuy 08-21-2004, 11:47 AM I didn't feel a huge difference.... I just wanted longer lines basicly, and the being skinnier was a plus for clearence. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
