how do you feel a chipped GTi with intake would fair against the STi?

Not too good I'm afraid. A chipped GTI compared to the regular WRX is a different story. Can't compare a chipped GTI to a 300 hp all wheel drive STI. :naughty:

Wow I can't believe that was even asked. Now maybe if you give the GTI the new neuspeed turbo kit.(I know some people on here don't like them) plus a front mount intercooler, a lightened fly wheel, and better clutch then maybe you would have a chance.

yo it all depends, If youre both stock the sti is out, but scince the sti is a much more expensive car, It is safe to say that with the money spent on an sti put towards parts on a gti weather its a 1.8t or a vr6 even if the sti has all-wheel drive you will have that sti turn into a little blur in your rear view mirror becuase both gti engine have so much potiental.

i've seen chipped gti 1.8t with 3" downpipe and 3" exhaust, cai, dv and with better tires racing against sti and winning with 13.2s 1/4 mile. I'll find that video when i do i will post it.
