Why do you think people like or get altezzas? I'm not against altezzas owners except maybe on trucks and non imports. :p


I think at first they like it because it was different. I had altezzas on my 96 Accord. Now I have the S type.

Then I think people got them cause they want to look like the IS300 or want that chrome.

Now I think people like it because of the circles. Because stock tails are boring.

So why altezzas?

aahhhhhhhh .... why not? It a style some like. The prime reason people get down here seems to be because they are - how do I say ... trendy" Others claim they like the style because it does "stick out" in the crowd.

Personally, I'm a red/white guy.

personally I think they're cool looking, I don't know how to explain it, but yeah, I like them. :)

I think they look horrible on most cars except for the car they were made for. But the red on carbon ones look badass:hehehe: :argue:

I think its just because its not stock. I don't think it looks too bad. It looks better than stock I think.

I think altezzas only look good on black cars (for contrast), and on silver cars (they blend in/look natural). I also like the altezzas on my CRX, but that's because it's my car.:sun:

People say that they are played out, but I think it depends. Because where I live only acouple people have altezza's , or modded imports for that matter. So im not used to seeing them all the time. Although some of them are pretty dumb looking, if you find the right ones their not that bad.

i like the look of altezzas on any car, i think they make such a drastic change to some cars and it just sets them apart from any thing else out there.

I think they are cool the generation 1's are getting played out I have seen everything up to gen 5 and like the later styles. I like the carbon fiber ones. Im thinking when I get the hatchback I will get altezas take them apart and paint that silver part the same color as the car, or get all carbon fiber ones. But i think a nicer style (yet more expensive) is putting diferent lights on cars. S2000 tails on a hatch back 92-95 civic look hot as hell

I'm sorry but I don't like those pics of altezzas on the older model CRX. They look ok, on the newer model CRX. Depends on how the car is done up to whether or not it suits.

i used to like the altezzas then i relized they looked retarded and that evry car owner alost has them... so i swapped back in the el stockos and im actually happier w/ them that way....

I like my stock tail lights... :finger:

I'm going to be completely honest and tell you I think altezzas look like shit on all cars. It's gotta be the biggest waste of money you can spend on a "mod" to your car.

Can you say PLAYED OUT and Rice Ticket WORTHY!!! I used to have them ....but then every other CHUMP starting putting them on their car.....when you start seeing them on a Chevy Pickup....you know it is time to take them OFF!!!!IMO :sun:

First I'd just like to say that if you take the altezzas off of your car just because lots of other people put them on, then you're no different than the people you're making fun of, you're just letting what's "in" dictate your actions in the reverse way that they are. I have 3rd gen silver-backed altezzas on my Silver EX and I really like them. I don't think they're any more of a "waste" for a mod then something like a spoiler, bodykit (you can argue aerodynamics but who are you kidding unless you're going 150mph), or other aesthetic changes. I thought my stock lights looked boring, so I found some Altezzas that I liked and slapped them on. My car stands out against stock civics but it definitely doesn't stand out with a bunch of tuner cars just because of the tail lights. Regardless, it's a personal style thing, and I'll admit it is kind of annoying/disgusting to see a Dodge Ram or a Chevy S-10 with altezzas on the back, but it just goes to show what an impression imports have made everywhere. In contrast, not everyone with Altezzas is a "ricer." It's the only thing I've changed externally, so no stickers, stupid body kits, fake badges or anything like that, I just liked the way they looked, especially the way the silver sort of blended into my car's body color.
What does this mean? Don't judge someone by the view of their ass.

You have a valid point....usually it is a combination of the Super Wings and Useless Stickers TOPPED off by Altezzas is what makes it Rice!!

I'm sure your car does look nice with them on....Don't get me wrong.....I liked the way they looked on my car(Pearl White 98 SH Lude)....but it just IRKED me to see .....3 months later...every Riced out car with them on...and I did not want to be associated with those Posers!!!!

Do you have a picture of how yours looks? Post them up......

I ended up gting those futura ones ... I like thm cuz they're different... red/clears look too stock to me... only honda lvrs wld knw the diff...

I wanna see pics when you get any, of how they look on your car. I like the look of the Futuras, I didn't at first, but now they are "growing" on me. I'm also waiting to see if the "EuroTec" version of the APC tails, come out for '00 Civic coupes.

i don't know.......the altezza's were cool the first time i saw them on a white accord at my local taco bell........then i saw them everywhere..........man.........it's sorta cheesy now.......i know people are "trying" to be different....but i think they're trying to fit in......i don't really care if you got em, but if that's like the only mod you're gonna get, i think you might as well buy some springs or something.......anyways, the only cool altezza on civic i've seen is an original is300 BACK-END on a 99' civic ex. this guy who used to work at blockbuster at my house........sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
