Battle stage - Brake lights?

Was wondering in the Battle Stage, on a couple of the races when they brake and it shows there wheels, where the break pads would be, it glows red? Is there actual brake pad or wheel mods for this? Is this just an effect for the anime? Is it suppose to show the heat in the pads? more info plz :o

Im new :|

Re: Battle stage - Brake lights?

When you brake, friction builds up heat on the discs and it starts glowing (after intense braking)
Happens after braking pretty hard after a while, havent you ever watched the LeMans 24 hours when theyre racing at night?

Its not the brake pads that make are red, it is the rotor. If you have seen those crazy Lemans cups notice there brakes there mostly read all the time. But once they get red hot like that your breaking will not be as good as before.

Re: Battle stage - Brake lights?

the lemans cars use cabon rotors which is actually the carbon burning off (turning red)... if you watch in the pit stops when they change tires all the carbon dust falls out of the rim... actually the hotter the rotors get the better they perform to a certain point if you tried driving with carbon brakes on a cold morning you'll probably run the fist stop sign because the brakes haven't had enough time to get up to temp.

idk how hard to would be to heat a regular rotor but extremely heavy braking would need to be involved. Actually Endless came out with a brake pad a few years back that emitted sparks beacuse of the metallic compond
