My '95 9000 cs feels a little shaky or loose in the transmission. when it's in gear the stick mooves around and shakes with the engine. how worried should i be about this, and is there anything i can do to fix it? it's kind of annoying so i'd like to fix it wether it's a problem or not

Does it make any sounds? Does the gears jump out to neutral when using the engine to brake?

The stick will always move a little with the engine/gearbox since there is a mechanical link between them.

it makes a whining noise sometimes when it is in 1st gear. not very loud though.

I had the same problems with my old 9k, and in addition I had some problems with getting it into reverse. The problem was that a little clutch-rubber thing was broken. I didn't hurry to get the problem fixed, but just three weeks ago I bought a new car. The dealer where I traded in my 9000CD said they would change the gearbox before selling it to a new customer.
