Question HELP..86 jetta bucks like a wild horse then dies!!!

I have a 86 jetta 5 speed fuel injection that starts just fine when cold and purrs like a kitten.. once it gets warm or after driving a very short distance it begins to cough or sputter as if it ran out of gas... the coughing gets worse especially when climbing hills until it starts bucking/jerking so hard i can no longer drive it...it will then start again and then lose power and die and no longer start until its cold again. I thought maybe it was a fuel problem... all pumps have pressure and fuel filter has been changed. Plugs, cap, rotor have all been serviced..I am thinking maybe it could be an injector problem or some kind of electrical problem such as coil or ground wires coming loose.. or even a sensor of some sort. If anyone has knowledge of this very frustrating problem....please help.

In tank Fuel Pump?

have you checked the fuel pump in the fuel tank? I had a similar
problem with my 90' Passat which was fixed with replacing the intank fuel pump
