1999 Venture reset

Need help to reset the computer in a 1999 chev Venture due to passkey light being on. Put a remote start in and bypass module was defective. Passkey light is on even if I use the key to start.

Re: 1999 Venture reset

How will it be fixed if I remove the remote starter? The passkey system is completely off so even if I remove it the light is still on. The only reason it is on is because of a defective product, which has been replaced with a properly working one. It has the 3.4l engine. The passkey light is on even if I start it with the key or if I use the remote without the bypass hooked up, which it shouldn't.

Send me a PM though here and I'll tell you what you need to know. These so called ASE techs only know what their scanners or books tell them.
