Initial D comic ver. Trueno

http://www.hlj.com/cgi-perl/hljpage.cgi?FUJ18354

Anyone know anything bout this model?? What im really wondering about is the dash decals. Cos in the story, the main character gets a new engine which has very high revs. So im wondering whether the dash is a stock engine one, or special high RPM ones.

Well, I own the older kit and only got the standard dash decals, but knowing Fujimi they wouldn't change the decals for something like that. You could always create your own to print.

Yeh thats what i thought too. Cos i wanna build 2. One thats the same as right at the start of series, and one as it is currently in the comic. With the carbon bonnet and buckets and all that. Ive almost finished my stock one.
Looks like ill just have to make my own. Plus some other scratchbuilds cos he also has a water temp gauge and other gadgets put in.

Does anyone know how many DVD's Toykopop is going to make? I've only seen the first 2. The first; "Down Hill Tofu Delivery Special" (i think) and the second one "Rumbling Turbo" (?) Basically i've gotten to the point where Zach with the R32 wants to challenge Tak.

Re: Initial D comic ver. Trueno

Zach???? Takeshi Nakazato, right?? I contributed the script to Tokyo Pop, so for the same of me, please watch the Japanese version with correct names and more importantly, for the real car sound. I'll have to break down in tears if any AF member watches the English audio version.
Anyway...

You can print the gauges with the inkjet printer, and cover the image with cellophane tape. Then, cut it out, and glue it to the dashboard with epoxy glue or non fog free super glue. If you want to addd a depth, you can cut a piece of clear plastic, and glue it in angle (just like a real car). It doesn't have to be water slide decal at all. For the best result, I suggest preparing the image at 400%, and use a color laser copier and reduce the image at 25%. That will eliminate small errors, and you can make a real sharp image of the gauges.

Re: Initial D comic ver. Trueno

Thanks hirofkd.
And i also agree. People...forget the eng ID. Go for the japanese ver. I recently bought the entire first stage japanese DVD's, and won a copy of the eng DVD. And the eng one is terrible. It doesnt seem right to have the RedSuns rocking up with rap blaring out of there cars instead of the original awesome eurobeat. Plus the engine sounds are just wrong. I noticed in the eng one, none of the cars had BOV's...which is a bit of a bummer. But luckily you can listen to the original japanese on the eng DVD's...so theres hope.

Re: Initial D comic ver. Trueno

u technicaly didn't win, but i won't stamp on ur glory ozstrider, anyway, keeping with the theme of the fujimi trueno, i was wondering, at hlj, there is a kit that includes takumi and natsuki models, is this kit exactly the same as the others, only with resin figures? (and how much should two 1/24 resin figures be worth?)

I have the Japanese script on the side of the car if anyone needs those decals; I have no plans on building this car.
